New managing director to head up Dowding & Mills’ calibration and electronics division

Dowding & Mills has appointed a new managing director to head up its recently formed Calibration and Electronics division.

Ian Middleton (39) joins the company from a similar position within the engineering sector, and brings 21 years experience in engineering, sales and business management.

Martyn Habgood, chief executive of Dowding & Mills, commented: "Ian’s appointment is the final piece of the jigsaw for the new Calibration and Electronics division. We began by bringing together our electronic, calibration and instrument services branches together as one division. And now, with a new managing director in place to head up the division, we hope that customers will see a new focus and drive and find it easier and more cost-effective to do business with us."

The Calibration and Electronics service includes instrument repair, electronic repair and support services, and calibration and testing. Its customers include the MoD, Siemens, the Nuclear and Electricity Agencies and UK Atomic Energy Authority.
