DOWDING & MILLS BRINGS CONTINENTAL EUROPEAN COMPANIES TOGETHER UNDER GLOBAL BRAND

Dowding & Mills PLC, the leading independent supplier of electrical, mechanical and electronic engineering services, has changed the names of its subsidiaries in continental Europe, as part of a world-wide move to bring its companies together under the Dowding & Mills brand.

Since July 2nd Geha Elektrotechnische Fabriek and Van Wijnsberge in Holland together with the company's Luxembourg branch Ateliers Electriques de Walferdange (AEW) have traded as Dowding & Mills.

Graham Hartley, Director, International Services commented: "Dowding & Mills has owned these three companies for some years, dating back to the 1980s and is now keen to integrate them within a single brand image. We believe that bringing them together under the Dowding & Mills name will help us to achieve this and reinforce our commitment to these important locations. It is our intention to increase our capabilities in mainland Europe by providing increased support from within the Group as a whole.

In fact many European customers are already taking advantage of the high voltage coil manufacture, commutator manufacture and gear cutting capability, as well as the design, technical backup and problem solving service offered by the company's global engineering support team. Other advantages will include easier access to project management specialists and site engineers for support with large projects.

With branches throughout Europe, Australia and the USA, Dowding & Mills offers a comprehensive range of services to industry worldwide. This latest change, which is part of an ongoing programme of restructuring and reorganisation, will make it easier for customers to enjoy the benefits of working with a larger organisation, without losing the local contact and service.

In addition, from July 1st, all three branches commenced trading in Euros, in line with the rest of continental Europe. This will affect all transactions with customers and suppliers.
