Dowding & Mills expands electronics and calibration team

Recent appointments for Dowding & Mills’ Electronics and Calibration team have set them on track to go from strength to strength in coming years

Tim Webster has been appointed total quality manager and Tony Browne has been appointed financial controller.

Tim Webster has 12 years of quality management experience. Prior to joining Dowding & Mills, he worked in the printed circuit board industry as a product manager, working on multi-million pound customer accounts, such as Cisco Systems and Sun Microsystems. He has recently completed the post graduate part of his MA in Total Quality Management from Northumbria University.

Tony Browne has spent the last six years at IMI plc, including 18 months as group financial controller, covering 64 sites worldwide. His main responsibilities were for continuous improvement in finance, sales and purchasing, internal audit and Six Sigma, he was also recently involved in setting up a greenfield site in the Czech Republic. Prior to IMI, Browne was the financial controller at the Birmingham Mint.

As financial controller for Electronics & Calibration, Browne’s main goals will be to create standardised systems and controls across the branch network and to assist branch managers in the maximisation of their branches’ results.
