DOWDING & MILLS APPOINTS WATER INDUSTRY SPECIALIST Dowding & Mills Engineering Services has appointed a dedicated business development manager to work within the water industry. Ian Weybourne, who has more than 20 year's experience in engineering consultancy, will be responsible for promoting the breadth of Dowding & Mills' expertise to the industry, and have a specific technical role associated with pumps, fans and compressors. Weybourne is well known in the water industry, particularly through his previous role as manager of the Pump Centre - the body that provides a range of pump related training and technical services as well as overseeing the establishment of the Water Industry Mechanical and Electrical Specifications (WIMES). A Chartered Mechanical Engineer, Weybourne has also worked as a senior engineering consultant with AEA Technology on a wide range of machinery health care issues, and more recently for Advanced Energy Monitoring Systems, where he provided consultancy and training associated with the performance of pumps and pumping systems. Commenting on his appointment, Weybourne said: "This new role with Dowding & Mills will enable me to work across the business and bring an integrated engineering services offering to the water industry." Dowding & Mills already carries out work for a number of companies in the industry, including Thames Water, United Utilities, Severn Trent and Northumberland Water. |
